The Cadillac Lyriq, a pioneer in General Motors’ electric vehicle lineup, just received a striking upgrade. For the 2026 model year, Cadillac has introduced the Lyriq-V, a high-performance V-Series variant designed to thrill drivers with race car-inspired engineering. It’s the first EV to carry Cadillac’s prestigious V-Series badge.

“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac. “Lyriq-V pushes our performance pedigree into the EV era, offering a high-tech, powerful, and personalized driving experience.”

At the heart of the Lyriq-V lies a dual-motor system producing an impressive 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Powered by a 102 kWh battery pack, the SUV achieves a 285-mile EPA range. While slightly less than the standard all-wheel-drive Lyriq’s 307-mile range, the trade-off comes with significant performance gains.

Engage V-mode, and the Lyriq-V rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, thanks to launch control. For a more dynamic driving experience, Competitive mode activates traction management systems to enhance vehicle agility. Paired with 22-inch wheels and Brembo front brakes, the Lyriq-V promises precision handling and powerful stopping capability.

The Lyriq-V isn’t just about power—it’s designed to look and feel like a performance machine. A reworked front fascia, bold side rockers, and sporty new seats with enhanced side bolstering give the SUV a distinctive V-Series aesthetic. Inside, Cadillac has infused the cabin with high-tech luxury, including a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system that doubles as a channel for powertrain sounds inspired by the brand’s Le Mans racing cars.

And for tech-savvy drivers, the Lyriq-V maintains Apple CarPlay functionality—an increasingly rare feature in newer GM EVs—as well as Cadillac’s acclaimed Super Cruise hands-free driving system.

Production of the Lyriq-V is set to begin at GM’s Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, with prices starting at $79,990 (including destination fees). With its race-inspired features and electrifying performance, the Lyriq-V promises to set a new benchmark for luxury electric SUVs.

Whether carving through canyons or cruising city streets, Cadillac’s Lyriq-V is a testament to how performance and electric innovation can coexist in perfect harmony.
